Sad but True ... In 1973 the non'rice burning chevrolet "corvette made a " 4 Rotor" Wankle Engine, that amazed them with it's high rpm with low vibration failure & minimal parts wear ..
They dumped it for several reasons , because of nascar racetrack limits, & low money parts return , and other :rice: :rice: detroit car monoply issues ?

Piston engines break when over revved because the engine components can't handle all the vibration.
My personal favorite is seeing melted piston out the exhaust ports..("i though it had water in it, the temp gauge never moved")
no oil on rod bearings...equal hole in block..i'll post a pic tomorrow
