The reason people go by 1/4 mile time is because track times don't really mean anything to any of us. If Mike just said that their car ran 2:05 without giving other cars' times for reference then most of us wouldn't have any idea if it were fast or not. 1/4 mile is 1/4 mile wherever you go, and if you want to get technical, you can even have corrected times.

Personally, I liked having a fast car, but I would never want to build an RX-7 drag car.

theres nobody around here with a high hp anything except for 3 fd guys (gd:440rwhp, ivan 380rwhp;stock twins too!, and mike a; 350rwhpish) everyone here goes roadracing/drifting where power doenst matter as long as you dont have too little or too much
I'm around here, sometimes, and I should be about 400 RWHP when it's all done. I would hope I'll be at least 380 now but only dyno time will get her done.

I don't care if it takes me another 5K to get me to my #'s. It's a goal that I have set & I will make it, if, I'm not already there.

As for 10 sec 1/4's, nope, that I don't want. Maybe for a full out drag FC but, I'm not really a point and shoot kinda guy.

Boost it & send me though a curve to put a smile on my face

If I wanted to drag, I don't think I would start with a FC. Maybe a GT-R or a 3-rotor, boosted, 1st gen. 9's would be the mark for that.

FAST RX-7s are generally unreliable
Any engine, rotary or not, that is tweaked/built almost to it's fullest, isn't reliable. The top full cars that are running the out of this world #'s only run for 1/4 before being rebuilt.

Everything all at once.

you dont even own a rotary, your biggest contribution has been uploading ****.

i've worked on multiple people's rotaries, i've worked on my own, i udnerstand it, and have a project underway that most rotorheads only dream about. Oh and i've done graphical work for this lovely site as well as offering phins a helping hand with anything useful, not just moderating a **** forum.

What have you done... pretend to get girls, pretend to have a hooked-up tempo, pretend you dont look like a ******* toucan, pretend, pretend pretend, oh and ******* kiss ***. wow you're so useful.

just to clarify- he isnt calling me the idiot, lol

by the way- Kooks sells mufflers as well as cats for race cars, some

tracks are requiring them. If you dont think a 1000hp car is a race

car then your fucked in the head, lol.

quick story- my gf's cousin has a very succesfull repair shop in the Hamptons, one

day we go to his house in the vert, and he tells me how he knows

this guy who is soooooooo into RX7s, how he races them and thats

all he is into, says they call the guy Popeye. Im thinking "I wonder why

he doesnt post on a board??". oh thats right- some people dont bother with

this **** when they get home, lol

yeah like the mechanic me and jims frequent owns his own ita fb that has won 1st overall in a 24 hour race, and multiple 12 hour races, not to mention he is building a gt2 rx7 as we type, with full tube frame, dry sump, cockpit adjustable swaybars the whole 9 yards.

why doesn't he post on rx7 forums?? because he doesn't want some 19 yo **** that knows everything to tell him how to build a race car
