anyone else here run low 12's on plain average joe tires?

not Drag Radials or Autocrossing tires or ET streets etc



If you did what was your:

60' foot times

Boost levels

1/8 ET

and 1/4 Mile ET

I did lol



a week n-a-half ago

did 2 passes that night-(on ToYo Proxie tires-the old versions $20 used tires)

12.51@118 with a 2.1 60'

and -

12.33@119

2.0 60' foot (Held 1/2 throttle tires squealed , then I punched it when I felt the tires not spin)

8.1 in the 1/8th

almost 94MPH in the 1/8th



running 14PSI



I'm thinking I "MAY" hit 11's If I get the Car Dyno Tunned and up the boost 2 more pounds



I have Vid of the 12.5 pass

that I need to upload to the computer

But you would swear by the way I took off, It was going to be a 14 second pass...hehe



Its all Top End 3RD and 4RTH where the car pulls the hardest

 

i ran 13.0 on street tires in my FD @ 118.... all you hear is wastegate and wheel spin LOL

 

Not me personally ... and I don't think he is registered on this forum, but Derrick Berg ran a 12.2 @ 125 on normal street tires.

 

I'll try and find the time slip from when I went up against him. I would beat him to the 60ft .... and that was it.

 

That was with a 2.3 60ft. Spinning the tires all the way into 3rd. Mods .... streetported 20B with T-66 at 9psi of boost.

 

I went to track tonight



ran another 12.3 vs a VIPER GTS!!!!!!!!!!!



neck to neck both had 2.0 60's and both of us had street tires

he has traction control- I have foot control

1/4= 12.495@118



Me (87 RX7 Turbo)

1/4=12.386@118!



It has always been a dream of mine to race one of those

man what a rush!



I was told the crowd in the stands went nuts when I beat it lol!



Oh BTW:



I broke a Diff mount and one of the rear shocks

Oh well..hehe
