Ok a big update, the DR showed up about 7:30 this evening, said there was nothing more they could do for her in the hospital, to go home and take oral meds, they gave her a list of prescriptiouns a couple miles long which I filled on the way home. She does look a lot better and can open her eyes, which is a huge improvement, but she is still in a lot of pain and pretty much stuck in bed. I am not sure I really agree, but not much you can do without insurance I guess I wish she'd let me take some pics, you guys would not believe what it looks like, now that most of the puss has drained it is scabbing over, so her entire body, and yes I mean entire is like a scab, we have to keep them moist with vaseline otherwise they are unbearable.



I was even less convinced she was ready cause she fell down coming into the apt, but once I get her to bed I think it will be fine, I am setting up the TV and moving the DVD player into the bedroom for her, I figure prolly 2 weeks before she is up and about, but what do I know.



Thanks for everyone's concern and good wishes, like I say not sure this is really a good update, but not much I can do.

I was talking with my wife again about COBRA and she reminded me about a friend of

ours who's son got hit by a car. Our friend had just left a job 2 weeks prior to the incident

and didn't have any coverage. he contacted his old insurance company and filed the COBRA

papers. Everything was covered, and the kid's ok too. (COBRA in california has a 30 day

window of retroactive coverage, talk to someone who knows washington's rules & reg's.)



Take the red pill, and see how far down the rabbit hole really goes.

Yeah phins check on that COBRA thing cuz Deadlines is basically how all the medical billing works.. If you do not file or inform yourself about this you may be missing your chance.. When I worked at Santa Monica Hospital, tremendous amounts of money would be lost cuz we didn't file the claims on time, or patients would get screwed footing the bill cuz they neglected to get the proper forms filled out on time.. I know it may be stressful, but it may be a big burden off your back if you can get retroactive coverage..
