[quote name='rowtareh' date='Aug 17 2005, 01:23 PM']Kind of weird that an 03 Tundra has drum brakes in the rear. What model is it that you have Venom?

Be sure to get really **** faced at school and studay hard.

Yeah. I'm going to convert it to a dana 60 rear axel with discs in a couple years.

Its an 03 access cab (extended cab) white, TRD off road pkg, every option imagineable. If it can come on a tundra, mine has it (except leather. I don't like leather.)

I figured that with the tow package they would install discs... nope...

on the limos they used to use drums in the rear in place of disks.

even larger heavy duty trucks use disks now though, my superduty has disks in the rear.

I guess more of a stopping surface??? I don't know the logic behind it. Must be for towing reasons only.

I don't like leather either Venom. Especially not in a truck, kind of stupid if you ask me. A truck is meant for working, NOT for luxury. You want luxury, buy a Benz.

A dana 60? Kick *** ****!!

Discs are better now. ALL of the tundras come with rear drums. Meh. whatever.

My truck is definitely used for work. I would have killed a leather interior by now.

After I get out of school and start making money the truck is getting a lot of stuff. Dana 60. Air locker. Strange axels. Full custom suspension, roll cage, rear seat removed, fiberglass fenders and bed, and lots of power mods. The truck is going to be turned into a full on prerunner. I cant wait. This will be after I get another daily driver, and get my finances in line though, so its gonna be 5-6 or more years... long wait...

No bullshit. Those are going to be some nice modifications. I want to buy a old beat up wrangler or bronco and lift it up 8 inches, 35 inch tires, 10k winch, roll bar, fog light bar with 5 PIAA's. And then drive it on the street. Heh.

I have not seriously taken my jeep off road yet. I plan to in the fall though, take off a week in Oct. and go up to Hartford, MD. I hear there are nice trails up there.
