How Much Hp Would You

This isn't meant to be judgemental but I think some people just aren't up to new challenges. They see a rotary engine that causes trouble, so they replace it with something that's old hat. Instead of coming up with new solutions they go back to the things they've already figured out.
Sure, getting the LS1 "Ellis Juan" in there might be a trick, but after that it's all known.

Honda owners swap engines all the time. I like the 13b, but if you have the knowhow to drop something else in there, do it. The light body will aid in propelling that 7 at ungodly speeds. Granted the handling endowed by the small rotary engine is now lost. So he got something while losing something.

#1 the car still retains it's 50/50 weight ratio adding only 23lbs.
LF: 746 RF: 677 Total Front: 1,423lbs
LR: 675 RR: 733 Total Rear: 1,408lbs
#2 The converted car handles and behaves the same as a factory car. The shop car is outfitted with aftermarket struts and front and rear sway bars.for performance higher than that of the stock Mazda Touring suspension. Our customers should expect their vehicles to handle just as well as it did prior to the install.
#3 Depending on the level of engine modification, our customers should expect even a stock LS1 conversion to perform better than a 2002 Corvette Z06. All of this for less than 1/3 the cost.
#4 When you make 500+ HP you don't have to rebuild the motor every 2 years or more.
don't be narrow minded and ignore the facts.

#5 - You are now driving a Corvette. Your car has lost its uniqueness and has had its soul ripped out.
It became "Just another car"
Whe I go to the track there are 10 second cars by the dozens there. ts not hard to build a 10 sec V-8 at all.
A chevy Vega would have been a better car. Or maybe a AMC Gremlin. Even a 1st gen rescued from a junk yard.
Again I am not narrow minded its just sad to see a FD ruined like that.
