the fact that theres no load on the engine makes it even more impressive. an engine is more likely to spin a bearing or suffer some kinda damage free revving that it would accelerating under load

Exactly what I was thinking. When you see these stupid kids revving the **** out of their cars at red lights that is the worst thing you can do to an engine revving it to redline with no load. Thats how bearings end up spinning.



Cheers - that was a 1/2 blown engine. That is why they wonder if it will even rev. If it was healthy it probably would have revved higher. I am amazed at how long it lasted. Truly impressive.

i think its funny how they had the radiator cap off. I bet the guy in the car liked all of those toxic gases in the air. So if you all don't like him because he blew the engine, he might be in the hospital right now.
