after watching this, im proud to own a rotary! i found this on supraforums and those guys couldnt believe how long the motor lasted......
if the guy had put the rad cap on, the motor would have lasted forever.... http://www.realscifi.com/pop.wmv |

it's not that impressive, theres no significant load being put on the engine. If it were 9000rpm @ 150mph for 20 minutes then it would be quite impressive.
|
Yea i saw that dumbass video awhile ago. I wonder how long it would have lasted if redlined while driving and rad cap on..
|
what a waste of a perfectly good engine... i hope that guy isn't on this forum. What a waste... i can't believe it.
for anyone who is a rotary fan don't watch it. |
I must say that that vid was informative. Now I know what a blown motor sounds like. Good thing the flywheel didnt come off while they were doin that.
|
It was an already blown motor, cheers. It was only on 1 rotor, they say that at the start. But yeah, its an NA so it doesnt matter https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png hehe
