i am well aware of the fact that a modified rx-7 would beat a stock nsx. i am also aware that the price dif between the two cars is big to say the least. my point was that people who drive around in an fd think that a honda cant touch them. thats just crazy. if you wanna go stock for stock honda makes a much better car than any mazda. most people forget to include the nsx in the honda family.

look i own an fd and think its a great car, it is probably the best stock all around performer i have ever owned. i have owned a turbo cr-x (w/ about 20k in mods) an integra type-r (best brakes) and an rx-7.





thanks amp for seeing my point. a ricer is a ricer no matter what he drives, be it a jepp or a civic or an rx-7. i just found this pic of an fd this is a total rice patty!!!!! thats my point just because it rice doesnt= honda.

Sully, I would disagree that any Honda car beats any Mazda car, class for class. Car and Driver has ranked the Protege over the Civic for 2 years in a row, at least. The new Mazda 6 also looks to be a more capable performer than the Accord. I would also say that the same has been the case in the past. Say in 1989, my RX-7 GTU would have beaten Honda's sports car... IF THEY'D HAD ONE. I don't count the Prelude, because, let's face it, its not a sports car. Anyhow, Mazda is on the cutting edge of a lot of new stuff, Honda is merely resting on their legacy and engineering prowess. Their new cars lack the passion that Mazda's cars have.



Now, if you want to talk about motorcycles, I'm all about Honda. I just wish I could afford one.

 

im guessing that that rx7 is also very fast. 3rd gen owners dont usually rice out their cars on the outside without modding the engine. you cant pick up a running 3rd gen for 3-4000 bucks. i think that rx7 is sweet anyways, and i love those mirrors

I've driven lots of Hondas. I don't like the way any of them feel except maybe Accords. I sold my CRX because I hated the pedals, shifter, steering, seats, etc...



I liked the looks though.

 

i don't hate them i just have never seen a tastefully modded honda IRL, and i hang out at some huge import seens. I just think its funny how damn ugly ppl make them, wow. Rice = untasteful ugly modifications IMO.
