I don't hate Honda! They're just not my preference! I've got a Mazda(obviously) Toyota and a Pontiac. I'm just not a huge fan! They make some cool stuff. . but the Japanese GP just finished. . . and well. . once again 2 BAR Hondas blew! So. . . .

I have owned many domestic cars..This is my second RX7 and owned it about 2-3 yrs..I dont consider it a rice burner or rice..Even since Ford owns Mazda..I dont consider it a Ford...

Civics are economy cars..not a sports car.....
i beg to differ, civics are fast, and cheap. a civic with the right set up can kick some ***. as a matter of fact, im sure you've heard of lisa kubo and the other hundreds of import racers that run in the low 9's and now the 8's.
Civics are peice of *****..Why do you think they do swaps...
they do swaps because they can. you can get a honda motor for $1500 bucks throw a $500 NOS kit on it and run in the 13's all day. total price of car $2500-$4000 bucks!

No one is cracking on fast drag Hondas, just the bullshit acessories that are associated with the popular sport compact scene. I think that is agreed upon.
But a stock Fd will still whip up on a stock NSX. And integra type R is no sport ride either. Unless your talking about full blow drag conversions. But that is not a stock car. My point is a RX7 3rd gen is a sports car STOCK. So even if you put a gay *** wing on it (which I don't condone) at least it is still a fast car to begin with. Unlike your average honda or acura (honda usa)
Don't get me wrong either, I always like the sleeper 7's more than the riced out look. I will never choose body mods over engine/performance mods.

man i couldnt agree more with you about rice. be it on a honda or an rx-7.
the problem i have is that people treat honda like its crap. its not; it is a very capable car. i disagree about a stock fd beating a stock nsx, but i have to check on the numbers. i could be wrong it wouldnt be the first time.
the thing that makes an nsx better than an fd is that you dont need to change the motor every 60,000 miles. they are designed to last. its not uncommon for a honda to run on its orginal motor for over 200,000 miles. my rx-7 has 123,00 miles on it and still has the orginal motor. this is only due to the fact that the owner had tons of vacuum tubes blown off so the engine wasnt under any boost. now it runs like a ***** ******.
the integra isnt a sports car like say a corvette or rx-7 or supra, but it is a great scca car. i dont think that anything that mazda makes is even in the same class. my integra type-r was a great car, but i sold it for an fd.
i know that for a few bucks and a little research i can make a very fast rx-7. the money that i would have to put into a honda to get the same gains would be 3-4 times as much.
any way i think that people need to stop grouping all hondas together and start talking about the ricers cars for what they are. thats rice. regardless of make or model.

Ok Type R or LS/Vtec swap...with mods...easy 5k...
20B stock...will run a modded 1.8 or 2.0 with V tec..Honda cant **** with...

How many weekend racers with family teams like alot of the Puerto Rican guys from PR or FL ..are running in 9s with a unibody frame not tubbed frames...Im not sure where you are from ...but I ave seen alot of Insane racers from PR come to the state in Central FL for PR vs USA racers or Rotarys vs Pistons....and the **** I see is mad!!!

I think you just haven't seen the scene in the States with the whole ricer situation. I think you would agree with us that it is pretty ridicoulous. It has gotten even worse since "the fast & the furious" movie came out.
