The reason i said sue the company he worked for and the bar that served his is because that's what you do when you sue. You sue everyone involved. And your right in the perfect world it would only be him the driver and his insurance company. But if he was on the job you deff need to sue the company. Now taking it as far as the bar is a little wrong. But yes you can do it. And this isn't coming from me. This is what i was taught by a lawyer that taught my business law class.

Got a phone call from my solicitors this morning and they said that the driver of the truck attended court and had his licence suspended for 2 years and his truck licence for life. He must pay all medical bills and court fees. Solicitors told me about the compensation form that they will be processing for the amount of $67000 against the accused and $150000 against the company he works for. I asked my solicitors not to proceed with the claim against the company. It's a bit of money, I know but why should the company pay for there employee stupidity. There going to look into collecting more from the accused.

 

Good man, it's rare you find someone that's willing to stick to what they believe when they see $$$, I respect that for sure. I know there will be a lot of people who simply do not understand that, but I do, I simply could not in good conscience spend that money, same reason we did not sue the hospital over my Dad's ordeal, granted the money would have been nice, but I could not in good faith sue the hospital when they were basically meaning well, they did indeed **** up, but at the same time they fucked up saving his life....



What about the insurance company, it would seem to me that they would be the ones stepping up to the plate here. I dunno how the guy's employer would be in line before them? That's kind of messed up, I can't see how the company would be resposible for a guy being a ******* moron. I still think he should be in jail, seems like attempted murder or negligence, I dunno. Maybe when you feel better you can drive over there and break matching bones, let him know how it feels. Break a rib and tell him it's from me. The company had the truck insured right? If not then I guess they would assume the liability that insurance company should.



Very perplexing to me who bares the responsibility for things these days, seems as if there's a guy sitting around a table and he says, ok, who has the most money in this room and one guy reluctantly raises his hand and everyone else says "not it" and he writes a check. The ****** behind the wheel should loose his house, car, savings, whatever you name it, personally I would get far more satisfaction out of that, then knowing I prolly got the guy who hired him at the company he worked for fired.



Anyhow, keep us posted, I'm very interested to see what Mazda has to say about the airbags.
