I'm using my DSL connection over PPPoE with a dial-up adapter. Since I got my PC fixed, I can't stick a connection, I'm on for 5 minutes and that's it, it drops the line on me. My modem is flashing the Ethernet LED like crazy (it's supposed to be solid green), and as soon as that happends, I get kicked off the line.

So, what could this be, why can't the modem or the ethernet card keep a stable connection anymore.

Any help is apreciated.

I'm not sure about Point-to-Point over Ethernet, I've never had an ISP that uses that protocol. I thought it was for creating VPN's over the internet.. Why do ou have PPoE enabled? What hardware are you using? LAN or WLAN? Clients under the router? Router firewall enabled? DHCP?

Let's start with that..
