Eventually Nextel will be able to DC with CDMA phones using a program at the towers called qchat that will convert from CDMA over to the 800mhz iDEN network. Nextel and SOLinc are going to reband come 2006. Once everything is said and done Nextel customers will be using CDMA handsets and the government will take over the old iDEN network. This is just the buzz I hear on the cell tech forums I frequent so dont flame me you ******s.
