Exactly the point of them merging together. Better service areas. Nextel's service are really sucks in Southern Maryland, but Sprint is pretty good. I always have full bar though when I am in signal though. Hell, I get a shittier signal when I am in DC.

Together? probably more for a tax shelter than anything else. These are two different technologies
