Our job cut us loose over some of the dumbest ****. I found a headset, had krystal hold on to it for one of the guys on our team whose headset was stolen. The guy makes an offer to buy it off her at a cheaper amount than the company was trying to gouge out of him (they want $60 for a headset that wouldnt go for $10 at radioshack) and management found out about it. It wasnt our idea to sell it, we were just going to have it for whoever needed it. Well, to management thats theft of company property for profit, and they fired Krystal and I.

Good. I'm tired of being that company's bitch.

Well, I was suckered in because I thought it was a tech support job; however, once they had their hooks in me, I found out it was inbound telemarketing using the customers technical issue as a front to get them on the phone to sell something.

bastards.

Damn, that sucks. So pretty much, you were a telemarketer. My boss asks me to do that at work when we get leads on cars, and I really hate doing it. I would not want somebody bothering me at home or at work about wanting to buy a car. I will buy when I want to buy.

Good luck though on a future job. Go sell cars, seriously, it is killer money. But the hours suck, like any decent job.

What's best is that your final check gets mailed to you. Payday is next friday the 1st, Monday's the 4th, and my rent is late 9am the 5th. I just hope they don't take their sweet time.

I did voice and data technical support, but yeah, i considered it telemarketing because we had a sales quota we had to hit. Seriously, that company sucks. Decision One was a vendor site for sprint, and they had some GAY **** policies around there.

Call time of 7.6 minutes, or its a write up

Sales close rate of 7.5% or its a write up

No more than 30 seconds of hold per call (and thats IMPOSSIBLE) or its a write up

You're required to offer multiple products on 75% of calls (including drop calls or irrate customer calls or hang ups when the customer knows the sales portion of the call is next) or its a write up.

All that, combined with the fact that a lot of the technical information is outdated, incorrect, or just not present, and that they will reward the good sellers but write up good techs who cant sell, makes me wonder WTF is going on there. THATS the reason Sprint is #5 (last) in the industry.

Those of you who have sprint know that they care more about their stockholders than their customers.

Bastards.

All companies are like that, but they still have a decent customer service base. I read in the paper one day, that Tracfone(yes, tracfone) had the best customer service.

My friend is happy with his Sprint, but he has not had a problem yet, but I am sure he will if he keeps dropping the damn thing. I am very happy with nextel, I just owe them money.
