If you're gonna get a concealed, do so with the intention of carrying an automatic. Why? If you go the range and shoot the required tables with a revolver, you have to carry a revolver. If you shoot the tables with an automatic, you can carry both. At least most states are like that. Stupid as hell I know, but thats the rules.

That is true, a lot of states require that. In TN we don't but if you qualify with a revolver, you have to shoot it DA the whole time. If you have an auto with a decocker like the Sig's then you have to shoot the first round DA and then the rest SA. Way back when here in TN you had to qualify with the gun you intended to carry. Then that is the only gun you could carry with unless you took the new one in to the sheriff's department and put it on file too. Luckily you can qualify with just about anything that shoots now and carry anything just about as long as it comes in pistol form. We can also carry open but it's not recomended.

Carry what you feel comfortable with. Also with whatever you carry, spend the extra money on a nice holster (the $100 plus price range). You'll be happy you did. A nice inside the waist band holster will make you way more comfortable than a $25 universal holster.



Try looking at Milt Sparks holsters. There's a few more but most prefer Milt's Versa Max II holsters.



I mainly carry a 4" 1911 but I also have a S&W air light .38 revolver that I carry sometimes. I have a hammer on mine though, it's just personnel preference...

Thanks. This is almost 30 yrs. of crap. My M1 carbines are all General Motors w/ dated barrels and no import marks. M1 Garand is H&R DCM gun I qualified for in '92.



I don't know which is more obscene - the amount of cash in the guns or the RX7....

I have been into shooting forever, i was on a marksmanship for a while (and was damn good in my age bracket )



I never really got into shooting handguns. I usually stuck to my anschutz .22 and my browning A5 for clays.



My buddy has a .22 marksmanship pistol that was fun as hell, Mabye I will look into shooting handguns...
