i've dropped my Ipod mini numerous times from heights of up to 18 feet (off of the top of a helicopter) on to concrete. The god damned thing still works fine. The ONLY issue i've had with it is once in a while it will lock up.... and you just have to reset it. Takes like 15 seconds.

considering the millions of IPODS sold, you can expect more complaints.
people who own them are really into them, upgrade once a new one comes out, buy all kinds of accessories that go with it. They have good resale value too!
Guess its one of those things you either "get" or you dont get.
