I'm a dumbass and can't figure out how to get the music to work on my mp3 player. Its a RCA Lyra. I put the files in a playlist in windows media player, then sent them to the mp3 player. When you look in the mp3 player while its plugged into the computer, the computer shows that the files are there, but the mp3 player says that there are 0 tracks.

the files are all in mp3 format. I tried switching the properties around from archive to read only and both, but it still doesn't show up on the mp3 player.

in other words, the files are on the mp3 player, but the mp3 player doesn't recognize them..... HELP!

it sounds like your just putting the playlist on the player, not the actual song files themselves.

hmmm... i don't remember getting any. i'll dig around. I've had it for about a year. I got mad at it the first time and quit messing with it. i found it a few days ago and decided to give it another try.

and its not just the playlist. I transfered it song by song, and I can play the songs from the mp3 player on the computer. its just that the mp3 player doesn't recognize that they are there.

I think sitting in the closet for a year killed it. I finally got a song on it, but it still wont play it back. it makes popping noised through the headphones, then does the thing where ever character on the screen is an 8 then turns off....

I forsee an i-pod in my future...
