perhaps try selling it yourself? Alot of people will be glad to bypass a realtor, if there are 2 other places for sale in your development yours might sell faster if they can get around the real estate fee, not that they will pay, but you can maybe discount yours a little bit less then the others because you wont be giving them the 6% or whatever it is.
There are a number of realty shops that will list your home for 1%. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for. All they will do is put your condo in MLS and stick a sign in the front yard. Don't expect them to advertise, market, or help too much with contract negotiations if they are only getting 1%.

Sweet, I will check it out. i had dinner with my dad tonight, he knows someone that will list it for me and has a weekly add in the home book, but yea, I see what you are saying, you get what you pay for, don't pay them anything to list you don't get much exposure.
I put my sign up on the mailboxes and have already gotten a couple emails supporting my efforts, I may get a few people to proxy me their votes and wipe the board out, have them re-elected. I am hoping that if I present my case and explain to them the many pissed off people they will just say **** you if you don't like it you do it, but we'll see. Going to list it anyhow, I don't want to be one of the last to abandon ship. two people have already listed since Tuesday.

It is apparent, due to the removal of the previous post that the current board members have no intentions of hearing the concerns of those that oppose the recent rules and the board’s actions.
There are many of us that have already joined together, let me outline our intentions. Although we would have liked to work with the current board to correct the unreasonable rules it is obvious this is not possible. We feel the only option is to remove ALL of the current board appointees. This can be done by a 2/3rds vote of at least 25% of the voting members present. Per CCR 10.2.4. To vote you must have your dues paid and up to date. We intend to remove the current board members at the next meeting, April 28, 2003 at 4:30PM. If you cannot make it, or would like to be kept in the loop as to the progress of our efforts please contact us at: camerayconcerns@yahoo.com it is likely this post will not stay up long because the minority does not want the majority’s voice to be heard. I fully understand that most people are unable to make the early meetings, but we will voice your concerns if you cannot attend.
The new rules put EVERYONE in the complex in violation. If you are picked to be one of the owners harassed you will be fined from $75 to $1,000 for your infractions. There is no way to fairly enforce these fines. These rules will drain our property values and prohibit a timely resell, no one wants to buy a condo in a neighborhood where they cannot park their car, use a garage door opener, roller blade to the mailbox or converse with their neighbor in front of their dwelling.
Although this seems drastic, we have no choice, we have to remove the current board members and elect new individuals with a little common sense. These new rules will force our already high dues even higher with the court costs and lawyer fees associated with taking our fellow neighbors to court.

I hope I never have to be in your current situation. It sounds like a complete joke to me, so a commitee of people living in your condo community make rules? wtf? Why can't you tell them to kiss your ***? I take it you don't own the propert, I am confused and uninformed.
