you still need to filter it before running it, otherwise you'll be gumming up the fuel filter, pump sock etc faster than you can replace them.

The only way that car could get better would be if it were a manual wagon... then it would be completely awesome.

The 60's models are sweet! i dont know much about the 560's to be honest. I have the yellow foglights. not sure what look better either, but the glass lense prolly looks a little classier. You know they take the dash wood from all one piece? you can see the grain matches all the way accross. i'll take pics tomorrow

the 60's one are sweet, they look all vintage but dont drive like it. my last one was a 300sel 3.5, air suspension, leather, chrome, wood, v8. the air suspension rides nice, but stay away, its $$$ when you have to fix it.

the newer ones also look like a huge pain in the *** to keep running, but its sooooo pimp. its victor maitlands car. its got power heated rear seats, airbags, abs, etc etc in like 1986. also a 5.6L v8, its smooth. around here you can get really nice ones for like $2000

both of these gas mileage is bad, the 3.5 would get 11-13mpg, i think the 560 is like 12-14

thats kinda why i'm thinking of my old 250S, its a stick 6cylinder.

Ultra-popular in Africa because of their ruggedness so if your ever stuck down there, they can rig you up half a car if it falls apart....

James May had one in Top Gear's African challenge, you can check it out by running a search on You-tube.
