Oh hell yea, so I've been wanting a classic body style mercedes 300 D Turbo for several years, I didnt want one that had been beat on and was willing to pay a good price for the right car... it just never came along. Anyhow, one finally showed up and the timing is quite good since amy's car will be in the shop for 2 or 3 weeks. You prolly don't know, but the 300d is in the Guiness book of world records as the most reliable cars ever built.

Anyhow this car had 2 owners, an older gentlemen bought it brand new off the lot in 84, sold it last year when he could no longer drive. 160,000 original miles, been to the benz dealer every 10,000 miles for service and all that jazz, everything works, interior is amazing. Current owner has a baby on the way and wife says no more extra cars so he's sellin it. Rides like a dream, the seats are actually spring seats, not foam lol. Automatic climate control, guy had the whole a/c system replaced with original parts including the pump when he switched over to the new refrigerant.

I've driven a 300D of similar vintage. Damn thing felt like a tank! Very solid. As long as you don't autocross it, I should think you will be quite happy with the car.

Rock it bone stock, just make LED boards for the taillights and sidemarkers, and get HIDs.

Old school style with a modern touch = classy

dad had a 240D that color back in the day.... in fact 2 of his friends STILL HAVE them, they will run until you die of boredom. i kinda like that body style, ive had w108/109's and the w201. seems like it would be the perfect swap for some silly engine like a supra motor or 20b or something

I am thinking about doing the euro spec headlights, they are a glass lense instead of the plastic.
