Beater? You have no idea the bumper is held on with zip ties.

Don't ask about the rest of the "work" we've done on it.

Ha ha. Don't get me wrong, "beater" is not an insult. I used to have a beater '77 corolla liftback. That car kicked ***. It was an sr5... so it had the "big (1.8L) engine"

At the beginning of college I was dating this (crazy) girl. Her dad was a doctor, and wanted to throw a couple parties at his house. He wanted to be able to talk to everyone at the party and be social... so he asked me to work the grill. He gave me the car for $1 as payment for me watching some chicken cook.

It has 115K miles on it by the time I got it... I drove it like I hated it, and it ran better when I got rid of it at ~140K mi.

A friend of mine had an Isuzu Trooper. After a good rain storm he would go off-roading in it... I would follow him everywhere he went. He drove through some really deep water one time and I followed him. Water was coming over the top of the hood. I could see the lights shining UNDER the water. The car kept on going.

I painted a texas flag on the hood.

This is not my car... just so you know what it looked like, mine was much crappier than this.
