I was heading over to RD's house yesterday to pull off my P/S and A/C, and at a light, a kid in a Buick SkyHawk was revving on me. I don't know why anyone would do such a thing, but I'm always up for some fun. When the light was about to turn green (turning lane light turned red) he revved his car up to 2500 or so and was ready to launch. Well, when the light turned green, I used my cat-like reflexes to get off the line and brought the beast up to its 3200 rpm redline. I quick shift into second broke both front tires loose with a resounding squeal, and we had already hit 20 mph. At 40; redline in 2nd, I had him by 2 carlengths, so I decided to shut 'er down and keep from getting any speeding tickets.

Don't laugh at me...it's the best I can do for right now.

EDIT: forgot car details: '88 DL wagon. At least now all of the body panels are the same color. Mods: 133K miles, knock in engine, bad alternator, oil system problems, bad master cylinder, runs rough at any rpm.

It really is the most reliable car I've ever owned, though.

I'm looking for an N/A to take the Subaru's place. I gave it to my mom in March, but had to borrow it when my TII was broken. Now my sister needs it because her husband crashed their Prelude.

I didn't know it was a killing machine...otherwise I would have kept it.

It was like one of those 25 minute F&F races.
