I was at a stop light the other day in my Kelmark/TurboII and was just out for a test ride after I had done some work to the suspension. Well there was a riced out Honda behind me and when the light changed he stayed right on my bumper. Since I want to replace the tires on the car, I've never gone past quarter throttle, but this guy pissed me off.

I kicked in half throttle in second gear and when the turbo kicked in it was like being teleported to the speed limit(50 in second gear.) At 50mph(the speed limit), I let off and looked back. Needless to say the Honda was waaay back and after that he stayed off my bumper! I can't wait to get some new high speed tires and give the quarter mile a try.

I had posted pics a few months ago. It weighs about 1800lb. I'm the first to put a TurboII in one(it took me almost three years!)

Anyone in the Washington, Oregon, BC Canada area that wants to see this car live, it will be at the "Cruz" Car Show in Port Orchard, Wa. Aug 11th.

Check out the regional forum and/or contact me if you want to be part of the show(or attend)

Hush now little one, that car ownz you in ways you haven't even begun to comprehend, lets see, turbo, check, rotary, check, incredibly light, check, all things niether you nor I have, 1800 lbs is ludicrously light, even for a rotary powered vehicle, now, no more of your crazy talk shaming the rest of the people from florida

Austin Powers is fairly close to right on! When I got the car it had a black fur interior. I keep the door panels hanging in my shop just to remember what it looked like when I started. I guess that was big back in the 70's. Well that was the first thing to go anyway.

By the way, the first kelmarks had Olds 455cu. in. V-8s mounted mid-ship. One was taken to 203mph at the salt flats and 101/2 seconds in the quarter. Mine came with a 6 cyl. turbo Corvair spyder engine(150hp) I traded a '64 Corvair Spyder Conv. for it to a corvair collector. He had had the Kelmark for 20 years (he also has about 40 Corvairs)
