WTF? Is he gonna keep us on the edge of our seats all afternoon? LOL. Seriously, I keep checking to see if he's posted anything.

I'm getting lots done today. Son's teeball game first thing this morning, then a little time at the pool, visited some friends, back home for some eats. Too damn hot to go work in the garage.

its actually not a power problem. Once we got to high load and higher then 12psi there was a hard miss, sounded like a 2 step getting activated. at 15psi and 6000rpm it would cut off and just miss hard.

Of course I had new plugs in there, and the wires are new as of the first motor build. So we're assuming the ignition harness, coils, or ignitor are shot. That and the 90deg, 60%+ humidity and it turned out to not be too good.

So instead we went and focused on the highest boost we could run without missing (11psi) tuned it for that and then tuned the drivability. Car is a million times smoother now and its fun to finally boost and redline the motor without worrying.

So monday im gonna order new stock coils and ignition harness, then find out if i can test the ignitor or try to find one that I know is good just in case the one thats in there is shot.

Honestly other then the PFS Large SMIC the coils, ign harness and ignitor are probably the only things I havent replaced on my multiple swaps.

Somewhat pissed about having to stop at 11psi. On a rough tune, 15 psi, and horrible breakup until a cutout at 6k rpm we hit 350whp on the dyno dynamics (app. from what i read DD is generally 10% lower then dynojet) that of course is also with the far from ideal weather. So I'm satisfied that the power is there once i replace the ignition.

So for the next trip up there we'll add on methanol injection, full new ignition and see what we can get out of it. Figure with meth we should be able to get to 20psi safely.

Had an awesome time tho, post pics later saw tons of great **** while i was slowly melting and dying in the sun.

FD + no heatwrap + few heatshields + 90+ degrees + 60% humid + no a/c + stop and go traffic home = i lost 10 pounds through sweating.

So in review 1988redt2 screwed my karma and was correct, but i shall avenge this defeat, in the meantime ill enjoy my 11psi, the car is nasty and fun as hell to drive now.

All disappointment aside, it sounds like you had a very productive session.

if anything its good to drive the car knowing its running properly

no AC sucks in the V8 car, I was thinking of the bear mountain thing this weekend, Roan was trying to talk me into it- but the thought of 90+ degree heat and sitting in traffic on my only day off is not enjoyable to me.

The vert MUST KEEP AC!

Now thinking of hooking the AC up in the V8 car as well, everything is in place- just need to hook the lines up and charge the system
