The best antivirus I have found so far is antivir (do a google search).

Its free and inobtrusive.

I never said I got them while viewing NP. I don't believe this place spams anyone except in good fun. I was just suprised that NP was the last place I was and the next day I had 178 new items.. I ran norton..and nothing.. I will get spybot and see about a fire wall soon.

Get opera, the newer versions pop-up and spyware controls are amazing. Only use Kazzaa lite if you must use kazzaa, and if you have broadband you must get a router. I have a 4port belkin and i love it.

Ehh.. I'll just keep my firewall on maximum alert.. I do alot of clicking but I also don't have bullshit jamming my computer

If you are good with PCs you can open up the Windows directory and find the .exe file for the toolbar program, and delete it. Then you can prevent further installation of junkware by opening up the internet options pull down menu in your browser, and disabling "installation of desktop items".



My PC had a few of those, but I removed them like the tumors they were, and so far my computer has been clean and back the way it was.

Hay thanks NP for all the good info on what I can do. I don't use kazaa anymore I switched to another..well I should say I just have a friend do it for me...the tool bar was removed with ad-ware. when my service is back up at home I'll get some of the other things suggested.
