You need to run ad aware and spy bot. Sounds like you've got one of those "targeted traffic" spy's in your registry or something. It try's to deliver pop-ups that are similar to the page you are looking at. For example, visit ford.com they do a pop up advertising the new GM models, something like that.

I dont have any of these problems, I have problems

with my new computer which has caused me to use my old ***

300mhz PII computer, but no spy/ad probelms, lol

If youre on broadband and you dont have a hardware firewall, youre asking for it anyways. I have a Netgear hardware firewall/router, and I never have the problems youre complaining about.
