Yeah there's lots of movies like that. Roadhouse was filmed in Arvin which is just outside of Bakersfield, CA. Then there's that movie with Robin Williams about the football team in Taft, CA which is also close to Bakersfield. That one is rather unnerving for me to watch for some reason, probably cause I spent 28 years there.



Same with stuff filmed in the Mojave Desert. There's this gas station in front of Jawbone canyon they just love to film.



Thinking of flims and stars and what not, anyone seen my autographed picture of...

I've been to the gas station in The Bridges of Madison County...as well as to the bridges. That's not very cool, though.

I know what you all mean, I lived in Savannah GA for 10 yrs, saw alot of the things out of Forest Gump. (the house, the city square where he was waiting for the bus)

In "To Wong Foo..." there's a part where they (Patrick Swayze et al.)drive through a rich town to Patrick Swayze's character's parent's house, and those scenes were filmed in Montclair, NJ, just a few blocks from where I grew up...pretty cool...
