This is like the 3rd time this has happend to me. I'll be watching a movie and all of a sudden i'll recognize land in the background or other features. So i'm watching Black Night and there is a scene where he crawls out of a pond. Well i'm like damn that looks just like airlie gardens here in Wilmington, which I have surveyed. Then Martin goes to where the old guys "house" is, and i'm like ok this is definitly airlie gardens. So I do a little research and sure enough it is. Just freaky, cause there isn't a whole lot of evidence just by watching the movie to know that, but I guess since I spent so much time surveying different places just a quick glimse and I know where it is. Same thing in the movie 28 days with Sandra Bullock. They were on a ropes course, and I had surveyed that area and knew right away....just wierd to me.

Oh yeah and just some stupid info, but airlie gardens has 3200 trees that are 4" and bigger. I located all of them myself, took 3 months.

Yeah airlie gardens wanted all of their trees located, with base diameter and canopy size. Along with a full topo with all of their scenic features including that pond put on a map. Can't remember how many acres the place is now, but 3200 trees is a lot of damn trees. I had a sock full of orange chalk I would mark the trees with so I wouldn't get confused. Ahhh the good ole days.......

Ever seenthat scene in the Exorcist when the father falls down the long set of stairs and breaks his neck?

That staircase is in Georgetown right off M street at the Whitehurst freeway.

In "Dumb and Dumber" when they go into the cafe and get those truckers to buy their meal, that was filmed in a gas station / restarant in Ft. Morgan Colorado. I have fueled up many times there.
