[quote name='rowtareh' date='Jul 15 2005, 10:39 AM']is your truck payed off yet? you will always need full coverage until you have the title in hand.
but that is a REALLY good rate, considering you have a new car on that quote.

yeah. I made the last payment a few months ago. still have full coverage though. I dropped the rx7 now since i'm not driving it.

[quote name='94touring' date='Jul 14 2005, 10:43 PM']If I had to pay that kinda money on insurance I'd buy an old piece of **** econobox to get me from A to B with half coverage and call it a day.

Ya know, I tried that, I got my license at 16 and before my next b-day I had 19 tickets on my record, the 20th represented a habitual offender law in which I would lose my license for 5 years. So I sold part of the monster stereo system I had in the truck for about 6 grand, paid all the tickets, went to all the programs, parked the truck and basically rode the bus for 2 years. Afterwords I would always have two or three tickets on my record, but my insurance would stay around 225 a month, full coverage.
The problem to date, imo, isn't my aggressive driving, although it is a small piece, but more the fact that the exposure I get and the miles I drive. I average 250 miles a day, most times I never leave the metro area, so averaging 65,250 miles a year that's nearly double the average that most of the statistical facts originate from. How can I get a fair quote for insurance when all the statistics insurance underwriters use are way too low for the amount of driving I do. The point is, if the statistics are doubled I fall right into line, ticket wise, with everyone else and am way under the stats, in the way of accidents.
It might sound like i'm whining, i'm not, it's just what I gotta do for now until I get in the habit of driving like a granny with an egg under my foot. I don't expect the insurance industry and the laws to change to suit my needs, but were they to change, it sure would be nice to put an extra 200 bucks in the checking account every month!
