ive been there too, i'm not right now. ive got my 91 fc i'm not in a super rush to do any one thing, theres no time line, it doesnt have to win anyraces, or even go to the track, and it runs and drives nicely right now too.

the trick for me, is to not do it all the time, lol

That's the trick!

I get so little time to run out to the garage to work on the two projects I have going that there is no way I'm burned out. The problem is trying to decide what needs to be done next.

Im getting a little tired of it... ever since i got mine the engine has been on a slow downhill battle with the coolant seals, now its just flat-out losing, however it is still running and Im using it as my dd for work (while looking at new/reman'ed/used engines). Theres a lot that should be done to it, that I just dont have the time/money/energy to do.

Hell yes! '88 Turbo II, ready and sitting in the garage waiting for the opportunity to be driven!

I always run out of money before I get burnt out on the car. Our '90 convertible is still sitting in the grass with the fucked up lug nut situation. I want to replace the control arms with the s4 ones from my parts car, for the replaceable ball joints (it needs ball joints and tie rod ends), but I just can't afford the ball joints, tie rod ends, and new control arm bushings (and time). (not to mention, the '86 needs crap, but it drives)

Plus I work 40 hrs a week, go to school 3 or 4 nights a week, and my wife just had surgery, so I have to tend to her needs and watch the boy when I'm home.

I still love working on the car any chance I get, assuming I have the right parts and what-not to get the job done.

I look forward to the day I'm burnt out on cars, because that means I had time and money to mess with them, and it means I've been doing some good driving.

Have I mentioned lately how much I ******* hate school?
