Went to court for the other ticket tonight, I finally heard the formal charges -

1) Failure to obey traffic signal (Infraction)

2) Failure to yeild right of way to an emergency vehicle (Offense)



So they had a plea bargain ready for me at the arraignment. They said in exchange for a guilty plea on the failure to yeild (4 Point ticket) they'd drop the signal violation (4 point ticket). The problem is, I absoultely did NOT fail to yeild! So I plead not guilty to both charges and decided to take it to trial. I will have a jury trial on August 24th at 8:30 AM. Time to fight fire with lawyers! Woot!

 

I know the failure to yield is a 4 point ticket, but failure to obay a traffic control device is a 4 point ticket also? Man, that is one hell of a penalty!
