Nonsense! It pays to think outside the box.

Oh! Excuse me. I thought you were commenting on the tax consequences of running a hitman-for-hire business in Costa Rica.

I visited Costa Rica about two years ago and I have to say it is still my favorite trip, and I've been to some pretty cool places from Australia to Turkey and Scotland to India. We stayed by Puntarenas/Jaco at a resort that's apparently not there anymore (per a quick google search). We spent majority of our time there on the mid-pacific coast, but there was plenty to enjoy. We did drive from the airport in San Jose out to the resort, which was kind of an adventure and a cool chance to check out the countryside. From what I saw the whole country is diverse with stuff you just don't experience state-side. The people are cool, the economy there is stable (relative to a lot of the rest of central/south america) and the accomodations are comfortable.

First and last impressions: the place is just beautiful, you just feel good when you're there. I want to encourage you, if you're already looking for property you will want a piece there. You will love it.
