i forget his name.

But on a sidenote Rob when i dropped off my motor we were talking and they mentioned that they were planning to do your motor, so talk to Rotary Experiment Seven (Ihor) and he'll set it up for you, they have time now it seems.

But yea ordered my T04R setup it ships first week of january, my fuel system, and dropped my motor off for porting and rebuild. it takes a lot less time when youve ordered almost everything once already for another car lol.

I have to go talk to a old friend next week, he has a inhouse dyno and could school us all, if he still wants to do it, Im giving it to him.

He is local and actually said he would build it for me last year.

kev congrats on the fd man cant wait to see it!

its going to take me some time to finish putting my motor together.. the p-ported housings i was going to finish by hand are out in Alberta getting finished with machined exhaust porting, machined peripheral finishing, flow bench testing, and also performance coating.

turned out my uncle was impressed with the initial port sleeves and wanted to help me out so he offered up some of his resources while he was visiting from AB

so yet again i say, "maybe this summer" i can pop down to NJ with my RX7

lol yea ive been saying "this summer" for almost 3 years!

anywho rob i brought home the yellow car today, the sideskirts and door moldings are like barely on the car and the paint on the rolled lip on the front fenders is all cracked and chipping away, and it looks like a bubble popped on the inlet scoop on the hood and left a small missing piece of paint. other then that i think the rest is fine.

Should i just buy new door moldings? im getting the re-amemiya sideskirts so thatll fix the sideskirt problem. if new moldings will fix the molding problem ill get those too, any idea on price of those?

not installing the moldings in 100% humidity will solve the problem.

Guess I answered my own question about painting in the extreme heat, never do that again.

im going to get DuPont involved, there is no explanation for what happened, they will back me up on it and will end up paying me for my time. I know that my process was 100% correct, so it was either the extreme heat and humidity or product failure.

the only thing I can think of by the scoop is perhaps when it was bolted on it possibly pinched the paint in such a way as to cause it to pop, dunno because I dont come across problems often

oin the scoop it's on the middle of the right side of the scoop, not near an edge.

The rear of the car seems 100%, the front is where i noticed little picky things. I'll grab pics once its actually in the garage, probably gonna drop the motor in it this week and start bolting everything on, hoepfully it should run around the same time as the fd.
