Well basically nissan makes alot of cars that people like but they all have the SR or the CA.......The CA is actually a newer engine design than the SR but the SR has a really Flat tourque curve and they respond more to tuning.

The SR weighs more than the 13b but not as much as a 13bREW. If I had a nissan in america and was stuck with the KA I would definatley be looking for a SR but since Rotaries are abundant I would never do it.

RB engines suck.....hands down no doubt about it. The only thing good about a RB is the sound but a RB20 won't pull toilet paper off the roll!!! The RB25 does make good power but then what 2.5 liter engine don't........try a 1JZ on for size!! The cost performance ratio for a RB is outrageous.....all the parts are overpriced and I think that leads more and more people to the SR and now with the s-14/15 the only engine available is the SR20 and skylines all went to the RB 25 so this leaves the SR as the biggest bang for the buck.

All this depends on the fact that you drive a weak dick nissan. I will take my Rotary and not worry about all that bullshit.

Yeah I'm sick of hearing about SR20s...

Speaking about the swap, it's not that hard at all. A friend and I did it with basic tools. He got the tranny with his blacktop SR too.

I have some desire to own an S13 or a 180SX...but I would put the rotary in one before I put the SR (or out in the case of the 180) in.

Toyota engines > Nissan engines IMHO.

bang goes the 4AG.....stfu please

the Nissan 2.0 liter turbo motor is the Small block chevy of our "import" world. I can get ALL the parts for it sourced inside the US, made here in the US, off the damn shelf for stupid cheap and pound out 400+ hp all ****** day with it. I LOVE that motor, and i will have one in a 89-91 240sx before i die

a friend of mine just got done with his SR20 swap, took him a while cause he did his own wiring and ran into some other unforseen problems. if you're going to do the swap right, you're looking at around 5-6k atleast. the stock suspension has to go along with the brakes, the SR20 weighs so much less than the KA my friends car sits about an inch and a half higher than stock. i also have 2 other firends that are sourcing parts for the swap, one has an early s-14 and the other is an s-13 with an s-15 front end. get this, the one with s-15 front end actually got the s-15 motor with the front end for $3500 shipped to his door, put the front end on and sold the motor and tranny for $4500. sweet deal or what...
