If so, what's a good workout to train for the 800 and mile?

you have to split your days to fast days and slow days...

so you can alternate them ...... on your fast days run 4x600m's about 80% ,you can also run 4x1000m@80%(give yourself time to recover from these)you can run ladders of 200m, 400m, 600m, 800m, 600m, 400m, 200m rest about 3 mins in between runs, you can also run 1600m, start out with a decent pace run, and burst every other 200m.

on slow days...... you can go for distance runs..... run 3200m while sprinting the straightaways.......or just run around til you get tired or something

dont forgot to warm up before you stretch, and cool down for about 800m-1600m then do another set of stretches.... and when you get the chance do heal/toes, roll to the ball of your feet, and rock back to the heel(try to make your toes reach your shin) to prevent shin splints

we ran against the current runningback for wisconsin... Anthony Davis. He was in contention for heisman trophy until he got injured. Martin and his relay team beat their team for county 4x100 realys.
