Looks great! I understand taking pics of them can be hard, it's usually at night (duh) and you need a super-steady hand for the long exposure time.

They look even better in person, lit up. You could also take pics of your lenses in the day with the sun directly on them, shows off the circles as well.

My only gripe is that when you stand close enough, the small lettering imprints on the lense's catch the red glow and almost make it look like the circle's aren't all that perfect, but oh well.

I used to say there was no contest between these and the stock USDM look, but sometimes I prefer the way they once were. Overall, however, the circle lights complement the "All-Curve, no box" idea that is expressed in all area's of the FD.

Nice work, mine was done by a guy in FL, sent him my lights while I was on vacation when I just had gotten my FD. So I had mine converted before my FD was on the road! :P

sounds fun, gotta get an extra set of tail lights just incase heh

Don't bother. Go out and get yourself a circle cutter from the local craft store, then hit up a sign shop. Ask the sign shop if they have some black vinyl scraps that you could purchase. You really only need like, 1.5x1 ft, but I got a little more just in case. This method also prevents the light from refracting through the edges of the lettering and such.

The measurements on the circles and where to place them are subjective, although there is a proper measurement somewhere on the 'net.

Anyhow, you draw out your circles on the backing of the vinyl, then you use the circle cutter to cut them out. (You're keeping the outside, instead of paint; toss the center part!) You'll want a pair on one sheet for the brake lens, and a smaller diameter single for the turn signal lens. If you cut sufficient area around the circles, you can spray soapy water (1 drop of soap to 1 bottle of water) on the vinyl and a little on the lens and slide the circles into position. Start squeezing the water out GENTLY. After it tacks up a little, you can really push the water and soap out from under the vinyl. When it's firmly tacked, cut around the outside of the lens and tuck the 'border' down between the lens and frame. Repeat for the other parts. If you screw it up, just pull the vinyl up and try again.

Notes: The lenses are brittle, be careful how much you bend 'em - they'll crack.

Don't get the glue on the lenses or covers!

If you choose to use a heat gun to release the seal, pay attention to the plastic. Move in slow, even laps around the circumference, if you stop in one spot too long you will melt the plastic. If you see the black plastic start to get shiny, it's melting - move on!

Sorry if some of this was already said, I didn't bother reading the thread.

the outside of those lenses turn as crappy as FCs do.

They might have changed the styling of the 2 cars, but they both have the same build quality.
