by taillight mod do you mean you swapped for 99 spec tails???? sorry i dont know if that is even possible i know i know hit me for asking

Its cool. We took them apart which was the tricky part due to glue and then strategically placed circles, painted, painted, painted, fix some edges, reassembled, ect... Took a few hours I guess to do a car. We did another guy's FD too while we were there, and the other 2 FD's in the pic were done as well.

If anyone is interested we would make the conversion for you for a small fee of course.

$75 which would include both lights, supplies that are needed, and the few hours of time it takes.

Wow, just checked on the 7club and these things go for 500 bucks!

After you unscrew everything you have to take a heat gun to the lights and work them for awhile to get a thick layer of glue to soften up enough to pry it apart. Carefull not to get the glue on the lights cause its a pain to clean. Then you mask the lights off with tape and trim accordingly. Cut the brake lights and turn signal lights which are different dimensions using construction type paper, or I'm thinking of using an adhesive label sheet so its easier to keep contact around all the edges so paint doesn't find its way under as easily. Then after you place the circles you paint the suckers over and over again to keep light from showing through. We also found out the first coat is the most imporant coat or else you are left with pockets which show the lense colors. You take off any unwanted paint and clean around the edges of the circles to make it perfect. Then you reheat the glue, snap it all back together, and you're good to go. Takes some patience or your left with a mess.
