1983MazdaRx7_JM

Hey guys! i have a 1983 mazda rx7 that i just bought. the car has some engine problems and wont start. I was told by the previous owner that it needed a Slave Cylinder, however, I can still turn the engine and crank it (it just wont turn over and start) and the clutch does disengage and pops into gear. I tried jumping it (because the battery was dying) and also sprayed starter fluid in the carb and neither helped. I also noticed that the exhaust is missing a center section, do you think that this might be an issue because of lack of compression? any helpful insight is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

Check for spark, check for fuel, if you have both, check to see if the spark plugs are wet, if they are you will have to do the un-flood procedure.
