The bumpers will be offered to general public after the group buy. That's when I will be making some money. I am looking forward to sell them at regular price.

I can't believe this finally got made... Chuck, I predict that you will be kicking yourself for not doing a large over-run of these, because you're going to be flooded weith requests for them once everyone from this buy starts posting pictures of painted and installed bumpers....

... who woulda thunk it, almost 10 years after this car stopped being imported, and 2 or 3 after they stopped maufacturing them in Japan, somebody finally makes the first urathane nose for a car that only ever had 13,000 examples or so imported.

Thanks Chuck!

You can't use those side markers on the stock bumper. 99 spec bumper don't have them.

Oh, I just noticed something... will we be able to use the front side-marker lights?

$25 is just for the bumper box. You will pay shipping to the freight company directly. Shipping from CA to East Coast is generally about $100-125 by a freight company. The freight company will accept a personal check or even cash.

Chuck -

I just paid you via Paypal for the balance and combo lights. Quick question though.. So $25 is the fee for the box + packaging (Handling), correct? So will we pay the shipper COD for the shipping charge? Any idea how much that will run? My zip is 21042, PM is fine if you don't want to clutter up the thread.

Thanks,

Ryan

The factory rubber bumper has metal brackets (bracing) riveted and screwed on there to reinforce the bumper. It's a good idea to remove those and put them onto the new bumper. That's going to minimize the gap between the bumper and the fender area because the bumper will be sandwiched between the metal bracket and the fender, which creates contact force on the whole surface, not just the bolt holes.

BTW, if you are going to remove the stock bumper yourself, read the following carefully. The stock bumper has the metal brackets where bumper meets with the fenders and the metal brackets have studs on them. When you remove the bumper, make sure you have another person on the other side or the studs are going to come out and scratch up your fender. The proper way to do it will be having one person on each fender side and pull the bumper out together. Use masking tape to tape up the fender area just for extran insurance.

Chuck, not sure what you mean by "use the factory bumper bracing". Can you elaborate?

Payment in full sent. Thanx!

I never sold or made any 99 bumpers with license plate holder. Are you talking about the original 99 spec bumper?

having installed one of his 99 bumpers with the license plate though, I can tell you that you guys will need to use all the old mounting hardware from your bumpers, I believe there are at least 2 rivets in there as well, so be prepared to pop some aluminum rivets back in. If your bumper is banged up anywhere along the edges you may want to look into getting some new brackets beforehand.

IM talking about original 99 spec bumper, I thought the person bought it from you.

either way mounting it would be the same- trying to encourage people that its not so bad thats all

I know the rear diffuser I installed for the same guy was purchased from you though.

Have one of your FC bumpers here- looks to be of good quality by the way, looking forward to installing it in a few weeks.
