Ecu Going Limp?
#1
i'm getting ready to drop in my new jdm motor into my 90 gxl. before i do that i'm getting the engine rebuilt and lightly ported so i can keep the stock turbo. when i put in the motor i will be getting rid of pretty much all emmissions. i'll probably keep my bac to maintain a good idle. i will also be running pre mix.
my question to you is... because i'm doing so many changes to the engine( emmissions, oil etc.)
will my stock ecu still run the car okay? i know that if you you run premix on the stock ecu you should keep the omp attatched so it doesn't go into "limp mode." but what about everythiing else. thanks alot

i did an s5 where the ecu didnt turn on the secondary injectors unless the fpr solenoid was plugged in. if it was mine id just leave the solenoids on, they dont wiegh anything, dont do much, and seem to be more problems removed

yeah... so it should run okay if i do that? the lack of emissions junk wont effect it?
ecu only knows if stuff is plugged in electrically
