If you are good with a dremel tool, it shouldn't be hard to cut out for the lights... since the bumper is plastic, you might be able to do it with a hot knife or soldering iron.

The stock one should work just fine. I will give you guys more info after I test fitting the bumper. Thank you.

wtf? Identity crisis ^^

Also as of now I would rather not have anyones bumpers aside from my own shipped here. It would be more hassle than it's worth most likely. I am to busy to schedule pick up times etc. Sorry.

I don't know if this will help you guys but I bought a 96+ style off of Chuck before (great service and quality). I put it on the car with the stock rebar so I cut it down with a dremel. Here's what it looked like. Ignore the part cut on the bottom since it was bumper-specific. I cut it down as little as possible to fit the 96+ lights. Wear eye protection and a breathing mask since that rebar stinks and the dust flies everywhere (who knows what crap's in that). Also give your dremel a break every couple minutes because cutting the bumper with a cutting disc heats things up A LOT. -Joe

Angle grinder with a 4" cut off wheel works faster. You don't necessarily need to cut the whole end off there either. Opening the whole to make some extra room will sufice. Looks like you were having a little cutting party there.

I kind of test fitted the front bumper today on a car that's in the shop.

There are a few things that I need to mention:

1. The car was in a frontal accident so I can't bolt the top part onto the bar.

2. The underpanel of this car is broken so I can't bolt the bottom to the underpanel which should further reinforce the bumper.

3. The lip is bolted directly onto the bumper itself, the underpanel is not sandwiched in between.

4. The stock reinforcement bar is not on there.

The overall fitment is fine even though the bumper is not really bolted on correctly. I feel it's better to take off those metal brackets on the stock bumper and bolt them onto this bumper to reinforce the structure since urethane bumper is very flexible. I will need to find a R1/R2 so I can test fit the oil cooler ducts as well. I will keep you guys updated. Check out the photos.

thanks Chuck, looks great. If possible, try it with the 93-95 rebar to see it there is any hidden things that pop up besides the holes for the lights.

Tomorrow, I have another customer coming down for me to test fit the bumper. I am going to fit it with the modified 93-95 Rebar. The bad thing is that he has my twin 25 row oil cooler kit so I can't test fit the oil cooler ducts on his car. But I test fitted on the car above and it fits fine. Hopefully there is going to be a local R1/R2 owner that can come down for me to test fit everything. That way I can make sure everything fits correctly including the oil cooler ducts.

It looks like I will not be able to ship out the bumpers before the 23rd of this month. I want to make sure everything fits correct before making the rest. So if everything is ok, all the bumpers should be shipped by around 1-10-05. Sorry for the delay.

I tried to enlarge the signal holes just a bit but in the end it didn't work. I had to cut the whole ends off. And yes I did have to cut a lot of the rebar away but that was for the bumper I got...I'm sure the urethane one won't be as bad. At least I knew this before I bought it though...turned out great in the end and no regrets
