I hate to think those intakes in the pictures will be the only 5 that I ever make. I do need you guys to give me at least some kind of deposit before I work on those. I don't want to be sitting on those if I can't sell any. So for now, I need just $100 deposit. When the group buy is over, we will count how many heads we have and the remaining balance will be calculated from that. When the intakes are done, you will pay for the remaining balance and the intake will be going your way. How does this sound??
I will be starting to make a lot more performance parts for the RX-7 but if I can't sell any, I guess I will just keep selling bodykits. =(

This is the best cool air box hands down.
It is aluminum, it is fully enclosed therefore it is a real cool air intake and the back lid can be unbolted.
Importance you ask????
If you go to a single turbo set up, you can just unbolt the back lid and add another one to accept the single hose intake.
I had the M2 aluminum, sold it and got me one of these for my TO4E. Yes, I know I could have modified the M2, but it was just too much trouble, $$$ and not worth the effort.
The Carbon Fiber ones that I have seen, just don't hold well, the aluminum back lid doesn't look good or blend and the other aluminum cool air box is open at the top and back lid is welded.
I bought it out of the GB since I don't like waiting for things.
Sorry guys.

It looks like the same design as this:

Whats the difference other than this one has powder coated frame and brushed aluminum top?
Just curious.

There are only a few minor differences:
1. The box I have is fully enclosed except for the duct which draws cold air from the nose. The rx7 fashion box you have is not fully enclosed so hot air can get in from that hole on the side
2. The very top is flat so it will not rub the hood liner
There is actually a lot of fabrication to close that hole. A lot of custom sheet metal bending, welding, and sanding. Looke how weird that shape is. That's where the extra is coming from.
If I want to make something, I want to make sure I can improve on the existing products so I have a competitive advantage. RX-7 Fashion also makes nice stuff too. =)
