V-8 In An Rx-7???
#41
why are the worlds fastest RX7's powered by Rotaries? How come all these guys with the so called V8 rx7's never seem to get the car off the ground?
I dont like to see any rx7 brought to the level of trailor trash like this. Rx7's were meant to have rotaries not big block V8's. The one thing that makes All Rx7's special is the rotary engine.
An Rx7 with a Chevy V8 is a Camaro with a Body transplant rather than an RX7 with an Engine transplant.

This **** is so ******* stupid. If you didnt like the rotary engine why did you buy a rotary car? Its not like its hard to find something with a piston engine in it or are you as dumb when it comes to that as you are with your rotary engines? I mean its not like ALL cars are rotarys and you can barely find piston engines. Its the other way around save something for the people that truely love and have never had the joy of owning a rotary. Its people like you monstermazda that make me sick becuase your to stupid to realize anything or try to learn something new. Remind me to never read this section of the forum again.

calm yourself people... it is HIS car and noone should knock him for it, may cause a complex or something. unless something is being cut heavily from the rx, the value will not go down, the engine can be transplanted back ya know? if his car was only 900 then what is this about value? the wheels on my bike cost more and you get more fun out of the car!

Its not a bad idea to do this swap. Its cheap, performance parts are easy as hell to get and cheaper than the ones for RX7's, its different-which is what almost every car guy wants there car to be from everyone else's. As for value, he's not selling it, he's going to use it and race it! Its not a discrace, its actually a wise decision-He has a bad engine that would be expensive to rebuild and for the same amount (or less) he can get a LOT of POWER out of it, while if he just rebuilt the rotory he would still have to do more to it to get the same level. I give you props man, keep us informed on how it goes and what setup you use. Good luck! I'd love a ride!!!
