Vosko should be able to swap his FD motor in fairly easy.He has a haltech for it already.Mostly needs mounts and minor **** here and there and he would have a truly badass T78 TII

The mounts are EASY. I know the cheap and easy way.

Please tell me how droping an fd motor in an fc costs more than buying an fd????? I'm really confused.. How much was the custom cradle? Can an fc front cover/waterpump fit on an fd motor?
13BAce nailed it the Motec and HKS Turbo cost over $7500 alone. Every thing I did to the car I did to the max. Clutch - ACT Extreme and a custom made Sprung 6 puck clutch. Radiator - Fluidyne Alum. Custom FMIC w/ Piping cost over $1200. The engine cost me $2300. Add it all up and you have a FD. Now add in what I paid for my TII and you have an FD with some nice bolt ons.

Any regrets from me? Hell no! I have the ultimate sleeper. Do I wish it was a hooked up FD? Sometimes but then I love how no one gives my TII a second glance. It blends in. I dont know why thats important to me but it is. I should really go out and make some money with it. But I dont want to get arrested street racing it.

Doing any car the "right" way is going to cost a good amount of money. Sometimes the price of the car becomes inconsequential.

It's so easy that it's almost criminal to tell.

I have no intentions of selling this car for a really long time. That was exactly my motto when building it. I only wanted to do it once and do it right. I wanted to overbuild it so I can kick the crap out of it and not worry about it breaking. When something gives me a problem I replace it with something stronger.

My tranny's days are numbered. I bought it off of a guy doing a V-8 swap. It has 500 miles on the rebuild that he had done. It was a crappy rebuild it whined from day one. I am having my old tranny overbuilt to put back in, once that is in I will concentrate on the half shafts. I just rebuilt the stock LSD rear with all new internals.

Finally! Someone that understands where I am coming from.

Yup, I understand exactly. Maybe I should become a car enthusiast psychologist. When I did my convertible I did most things, but I cut a few corners. I guess that's why I had to get a ride to the Hooters meet a few years ago when my oil cooler line broke. It's funny because 20 minutes before we left I was talking about needing to replace them.

Back in July my boost controller got switched off by accident. My hoses were routed wrong and my car boosted 30+PSI three times in a row during an Autocross run in Sebring. Its still running strong.

I have no idea how high it boosted my guage only goes to 3 bar and it was pegged when I did a peak hold. My MAP sensor was also off the scale when I downloaded my datalog and looked at it. The worst I got in A/F was 14.1. My car hit an ignition cut when I exceeded 3 bar. The Motec was setup for that.

Stock block... not too many people can say that.

I forgot about my oil cooler lines they were custom made braided SS lines. I also did an acid wash on my oil cooler so it was nice ind clean when I reinstalled it. I basically gave details on the big stuff in this thread. There are tons of little things that were done to make the car more reliable.

It sucks when you think about a weak point and BLAM it lets go right after that. Frustrating too.
