Make sure you prime the oil system. You need to dissconnect your fuel pump via the fuse in your fuse box then take off the oil filter and hold the gas down and wait for oil to come out of where the filter sits.If you get oil at the pedestal then you motor should be ready to rip.If theres no oil at the pedestal you need to look at a solution to your new found problem.
actully you don't need to crank the engine over because oil will go everywhere, under that much pressure, all you need to do is poor about a half a quart of oil down the hole in the center of the oil filter mount, then use a blowgun with a rubber tip and blow air through the hole you just poored theoil down, this lubes all of the bearings in the engine, you will be able to start the engine without worry.by the way i've been playing with Mazdasfor around 20years,Rob from Pineapple Racing tought me most of what i know.i'm getting ready to put a tll engine in my Rotary truck, also have a RX-3 SP,with a 13B P-Port,runs pretty good,12.58@110mph/1/4 mile, not bad for a street car eh?
heheh... Colins advice to me... Starter Fluid
... if it can start my big *** V8 diesel truck.. I don't see why it wouldn't work for your 1.3 liter... sparingly though.. I thought colin was kidding when he said don't use but a squirt... white smoke, then brown smoke(?), then all good with the blackish diesel clouds...
