yah, it would be easier and cheaper to do that, but the renisis could pass smog, and be quiet.

oh and think about if you bridge port the renisis, its 240hp stock, a regular bp 13b will make about that

all motec ECUs support fly by wire throttle setups this way or that...it depends on how good you are to set the throttle map up though ....try again with $4000 for the motor new....its probably 7-10K new in a crate

my brother was telling me about a kit to get rid of the drive by wire on his audi, so it looks like either way that problem is solved

Hmm...if crate engines from mazda are gonna run me 7k - 10k....then I might as well hope shitty drivers crash their rx8's so I can salvage that renesis goodness.

i would bet its 5-6k, they are putting crate motors into the star mazda racecars

only justification for spending 5-6k on a crate engine with only 250 hp would be if it could be turbo'd later on
