Again, I appreciate the civil tenor of the discussion.



Why a Renesis? I'm 47 years old, my racing days are long behind me, so I want some more horsepower, but gobs of it aren't a necessity. It would be unique. It would be cleaner and better gas mileage (can I hook it up to my FC transmission which has a better top gear?). Most importantly, I read the Renesis is quite a bit lighter than the 13B. The convertible is already pretty heavy. Any weight reduction would be welcome.



I've also thought about swapping in an aluminum V-6, but the rotary has really captured my imagination.



I'd be in over my head trying this, but I'm up for a challenge. I'd be helpful to know there are thoughtful people who might be able to give guidance and encouragement when I get stuck. I raised this on another Forum and it got so vicious that the moderator closed the thread.



I'm gonna do the suspension this winter, so this project is a way off.

sen2two thanks for the insite and i think we might be goin towards the renesis challenges are fun im thinkin im ready to max out a bunch of credit cards again!!!!!!

im starting a thread in here that will show my progress. and help the many out that wish to do this but keep getting put down for it.



check it out. i will be updating it from time to time...progress might be slow. but it will come.
