renesis in fc
#11
Again, I appreciate the civil tenor of the discussion.
Why a Renesis? I'm 47 years old, my racing days are long behind me, so I want some more horsepower, but gobs of it aren't a necessity. It would be unique. It would be cleaner and better gas mileage (can I hook it up to my FC transmission which has a better top gear?). Most importantly, I read the Renesis is quite a bit lighter than the 13B. The convertible is already pretty heavy. Any weight reduction would be welcome.
I've also thought about swapping in an aluminum V-6, but the rotary has really captured my imagination.
I'd be in over my head trying this, but I'm up for a challenge. I'd be helpful to know there are thoughtful people who might be able to give guidance and encouragement when I get stuck. I raised this on another Forum and it got so vicious that the moderator closed the thread.
I'm gonna do the suspension this winter, so this project is a way off.
