FWD rotary?
FWD rotary would no be bad in the snow,But I'm not a big fan of understeering. If your going to start a swap why not make a AWD roatry powered monster!! I read about a AWD 1st gen RX-7 in the "RX-7 performance handbook".
In Orlando FL there is a project full drag 13b P port 323 glc , if you would like to see go to www.pistonvsrotor.com and click on the word SECCIONES , then click on (PROJECTOS), then in (USA) Then in (JUST ONE )also in www.supercompacto.com , they also had afew pics of a toyota tercel rotoary FWD...... just my little input by the way that second one is out of puerto rico........ jose
Well, you could go the subaru way. Place the engine really far forward or the DSM way and have a normal FWD positioned engine with a transfer case built in to the trans.
I think that the subaru way would be the easiest, but I dont know if you can get the rotary engine to fit in the RXs engine bay after pushing so far forward. Our cars are "technically" a mid-engine (engine is behind the front axle) so you would have to put the engine in front of the front axle, so thats what, 2 feet forward. It obviously has been done. I just need to find the guys that do it.
