Anybody Attemp A 2jz-tt Engine Swap
#11
There's another orange one that has a license plate "1000rwp". Its pretty ugly too. That and putting an engine like that in an RX-7 just makes the car unbalanced too; one of the finer points of the RX-7 in my opinion.

400-500 hp is alright. I've ridden in a supra with around700-800 and damn. The only people that I've seen do this swap before is sp-engineering. We'll see how it goes.
actually another point, rfreeman is right.

I agree with you guys in some points, But the swap isn't going to cost that much. I agree with you that a supra with 7-800 hp probably is pretty close to 500 hp 7, but if you've got a let say, 800 hp 7 that weighs probably a little bit more than stock 3100lbs agains a 500 hp 7 that weighs 2800lbs. don't you think the 800hp 7 would win?
I kow a lot more is involved besides hp numbers, but if traction and such isn't a factor don't you think the 800 hp 7 would win?

Yeah a 800 v8 would woop a 800 2jz ***. I would just like to keep my car all japan and not get into the america muscle ****. You know what I mean. If I wanted a V8 I would get a 68 camaro. I want to stick with japan cars and parts.
